The small town of Arroyo de la Miel belongs to the larger municipality of Benalmadena in Andalusia on the Costa Del Sol in southern Spain.
Arroyo is one of three districts that make up Benalmadena, with the old town (Pueblo) and the coastal area (Costa) being the other two.
There are around 50,000 inhabitants of the town that lies in the shadow of Mount Calamorro which rises 770m above sea level.
The area has developed over time and is now connected to other cities by the A-7 highway and the railway line between Fuengirola and Malaga Airport.
There is plenty to do when you visit the town, from browsing around the shops to eating authentic Spanish tapas and of course enjoying a coffee or beer in the sunshine. The streets are usually crowded in the height of the summer season, but these images were taken away from all that on a rainy day in November.
The House of Culture forms a main focus on the high street with its typical white walls and fountain in front.
Again, the mountain always seems to have an eye on proceedings down below.
Arroyo was the birthplace of Real Madrid and Spanish international footballer Isco who started his career just down the road with Malaga FC.
There are several sports facilities in and around Arroyo and one of them, "El Tomillar" was renamed the "Francisco Alarcon Isco Football Stadium" in 2015 to honour him and his involvement in the town.
You can also take a trip to the top of the mountain via the cable car system which starts from Arroyo and climbs right up to the summit to provide some stunning views across the coast.
Whilst still a typical Andalucian town, there are also some big spaces and squares to relax in along the way.
One of my favourite bits of the town are the large plant pots, adding colour and a talking point as your stroll through to the station.
